Your use of the Smithy website and all associated services ("Smithy") is
subject to your agreement to all of the following terms. If you disagree
with any of the terms below, do not use Smithy.
If you are accepting these terms on behalf of your company or other legal
entity, you assert that you have been expressly authorised by that
company or legal entity to do so.
You must be 13 years or older to use Smithy. If you are younger than 13
years old, do not use Smithy. By using Smithy and agreeing to these terms,
you assert that you are 13 years or older.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Slack workspace and
any activity that occurs through your use of Smithy. Smithy is accessed through
your Slack workspace authentication and does not maintain separate login credentials.
Your Content
Smithy processes messages from your Slack workspace in order to provide its services.
You retain all rights to your content. We do not claim any ownership over your workspace
messages, thread subjects, decisions, or any other content you create through Smithy.
You are responsible for the content that is processed through Smithy. You agree not to
use Smithy to store or transmit content that violates applicable laws.
Subscriptions and Billing
Smithy offers both free trial and paid subscription plans. When you subscribe to a paid
plan, billing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Your subscription will
automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the
renewal date.
Paddle's terms of service and buyer policies apply to all payment transactions. Paddle
handles all invoicing, tax calculations, and payment processing on our behalf.
Refund Policy
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your paid subscription purchase, no questions
asked. To request a refund, contact us at
hello@smithy.app.
Refunds are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, and will be returned to
your original payment method.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by
contacting us. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the
end of your current billing period. After that, your workspace will revert to the
free tier.
If Smithy is uninstalled from your Slack workspace, your data will be retained for
30 days to allow for reinstallation. After 30 days, workspace data is permanently deleted.
No Warranty
Smithy is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty whatsoever, express
or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Smithy will be
uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smithy and its operators shall not be liable
for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss
of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data or
use, arising out of your use of or inability to use Smithy.
Acceptable Use
The short version: be good.

Don't use Smithy for harmful or unlawful activity.

Don't use Smithy in a way that damages or harms Smithy.

Don't distribute malicious software through Smithy.

Don't attempt to gain unauthorized access to Smithy's systems or infrastructure.

Don't scrape data from Smithy.

Don't use Smithy in your own marketing without our consent.

Don't sell, rent, or sub-license material from Smithy.

Don't republish material from Smithy.
Abuse
We reserve the right to take action in response to reported abuse of Smithy.
This action may include - but is not limited to - suspension or termination of
your access and the deletion of account details.
Modifications
We may modify these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will
update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Smithy
after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
